The NCPS

From the time of its birth in Charlotte in 1932, the North Carolina Poetry Society has given awards for excellence in poetry. In addition to the Brockman-Campbell Book Award, the NCPS sponsors annual Poetry Contests with awards in 9 adult and 5 student categories.

Attend our meetings. Talk with other poets.

For an overview of North Carolina Poetry Society activities, see the NCPS President's Welcome Message.

The NCPS does NOT accept manuscripts or publish books of poetry for members or visitors.
You may submit your individual poems to our annual poetry contests.
