Student Poem of the Month — July 2005

Dance   © by   Kayla Ford

Ballet is as graceful as a summer breeze,
Or as wild as monkeys in the trees.
Swirling, twirling in the air,
Being as bold as you dare.

Cool songs are playing now,
She loves the beat, she loves the sound
Rustling and shuffling across the floor,
While moms are watching at the door.

Seeing the love in her eye,
It would make her dad cry,
At the mirror she stole a glance,
And thought, “Oh, boy, I love to dance!”
